#21 Change

“the end of attachment … the end of fear”

American therapist Jerry Fjerkenstad noted in his work that for the most part individuals “want to change without being changed—sort of remodeled for that ‘new look’ but without the muss and fuss … that a complete change brings. … But we are only capable of responsibility and wise choice when we are aware of those factors.”[i]

What “factors” is he speaking of? He is referring to what is real and what is not real. All of us must face the challenge of distinguishing between real and not real if we are to succeed at changing our experience. What is real? Our True Self, a worldview of Oneness, a perfect Creation and Creator, a friendly Universe. In other words, what we call Paradigm-A in Simple Reality.

A paradigm shift to a Oneness worldview “… involves change, it involves movement, and it involves energy. Either consciously or unconsciously emotions and feelings, intellect and intuition, reaction and response all involve expression of energy. Greater self-understanding will help ensure that our expressions of energy are in service to creating consciousness rather than more fear.”[ii]

Insight # 21 comes to us from Steven Harrison in his book Do Nothing (1997). He is an international speaker on topics of consciousness, human development, and alternative education.

“Change is the movement of energy without hindrance. It is the echo of life itself. Change is freedom. It is the end of attachment. It is the end of fear. There is nothing that binds us, there never has been.”[iii]
