Truth #77 – We Dance: Art

In today’s world, the good, the true and the beautiful are becoming ever more elusive. We already live within a shattered worldview divorced from our connection to Oneness from whence our spiritual nutrients flow if we would choose to receive them. Art is among the sources from which those nutrients come to us.

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain
an artist once he grows up.
Pablo Picasso

Artistic expression reveals more than beauty. It leads us to see a Reality that will deliver us from the madness of self-destruction. Artists use their struggles as profound insights in their creative process. Be it in a painting, a poem, a dance, stage play, sculpture or any other creative endeavor, artists are enlarging human consciousness.

Oh! No theology, we dance.
Shinto Priest

An artist’s creativity is one of the most basic manifestations of a person fulfilling their reason for being in the world. Whether we engage in traditional artistic expression ourselves or simply appreciate the artistic expression of others, we will encounter beauty and truth and that encounter will nurture our own awakening process.

We dance!
