In the study of the biological sciences, bio-communication is any specific type of communication within (intraspecific) or between (interspecific) species of plants. For our purposes, we want to enlarge the meaning to include communication within and among any of the elements of Creation.
One of the major obstacles to creating a sustainable human community has been our choosing a paradigm too small to contain it. In short, we are paralyzed by the fear resulting from our delusional worldview. As Helen MacDonald says speaking of an insight that her friend had: “As my friend Christina says, all of us have to live our lives most of the time inside protective structures that we have built; none of us can bear too much reality.”[i]
The worldview of Oneness is a context wherein we can transcend all limitations, allowing our True self full expression. Too many of us are like timid birds flying too low, fearful of seeing the wide horizons that will reveal the full vista of what is possible in the adventure of our lives. What can the “low flyers” do to improve the quality of their lives? “[To] find out about the important things that will affect their lives, they must go higher to survey the wider scene, and there communicate with others about the larger forces impinging on their realm.”[ii]
